1. What kind of camera do you use?
At Titus Productions, we use the latest in HD technology, the Sony PMW-EX1.   This allows us to provide true HD footage.   Many video packages out there are labeled HD, but most yield a compressed version commonly known as HDV.   This is not True HD.   For our Standard Definition packages, we use   the Panasonic   AG-DVX 100 A, and AG-DVX 100   B   Mini-DV camcorders.   These are three chip cameras, meaning   they deliver an excellent quality shot, even in low-light conditions. Keep in mind that if the lights go WAY down during your event, there’s little the camera can do to create light where there isn’t any.

2. Why have a videographer?
This is an event you've been planning for a long time.   In a matter of hours, it's over and gone forever.   The number one regret for weddings and special events is often   "we didn't get   a video".   For one thing, a video can capture the sounds, sights, emotions and overall tones of your   special day better than pictures can.   There's nothing like seeing your family members in action, hearing their voices, and watching them enjoy the day.   Your children, grandchildren, and extended family will all be glad the day has been captured in a way that will allow them to re-live the festivities whenever they choose!

3. Can I have my wedding videographer shoot things besides the ceremony and reception?
In addition to your ceremony and reception, we can be available for pre-ceremony coverage, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner coverage, and interview sessions.

4. How will you pick up the audio?
For weddings, we use a UHF wireless mic system which is usually worn by the groom and officiant to capture the wedding ceremony. In some cases, the mic may interfere with the location’s audio system. In those instances, we will use the on-camera shotgun mic, which is also used for speeches during the reception. Don’t forget to speak up!
For other special events, we will use the on-camera shotgun mic which is extremely sensitive and great for picking up the ambient sounds for your special day.

5. How long will it take for me to receive the finished video?
Turn-around time is approximately 4-6 weeks from the time all editing materials and music selections are received.

6. How does payment work?
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit with return of the signed contract to secure the date. The remaining payment is due on or before the day of the event. Please remember that until your contract and deposit are received, the requested date is open for booking.

7. Do I have to provide the videographer with food?
When a videographer shoots six or more hours, meal arrangements are expected. If you have a vendor table at the event, this is where the videographer and assistant will sit and eat. During weddings, we ask that we be allowed to eat when the bride and groom are eating so that we can follow them with the camera once the action resumes.

8. What kind of DVD format do you use?
For Standard Definition consumer DVD burning, there are 2 formats: +R and –R. –R is the most commonly accepted format, so that is what we typically use at Titus Productions. However, on your video form, you will be given the opportunity to specify which format you would like to receive.   For HD video, we offer a Blu-ray disc upgrade option so you can take advantage of HD quality at its best!
